Our fees depend entirely on the nature and complexity of the legal matter. We generally operate under three main structures:
Fixed/Flat Fees: Often used for predictable services such as the formation of business entities, drafting standard contracts, or preparing simple wills and conveyance documents.
Hourly Rates: Applied to complex litigation, ongoing commercial advice, or dispute resolution, where the exact time commitment cannot be determined upfront.
Retainer Agreements: Typically used for corporate clients who require ongoing general legal counsel on a monthly basis. We believe in absolute transparency; we provide detailed fee estimates and cost agreements before commencing work, and we keep you updated on expenses throughout the process.
To maximize the value of your initial meeting, you should bring any documentation relevant to your legal matter. This may include:
Valid government-issued identification (ID or Passport).
Contracts, agreements, leases, or deeds in question.
Correspondence, emails, or letters from the opposing party or their legal representatives.
Any existing court papers, police reports, or tribunal notices.
A brief timeline of events or a list of specific questions you wish to ask. If you are unsure whether a document is relevant, it is always best to bring it along so our legal team can evaluate its importance.
Because every legal situation involves unique circumstances, there is no single timeframe for resolution. Non-contentious matters—such as standard property registration or incorporating a business—can often be resolved within a predictable window of a few weeks. However, dispute resolution and litigation depend heavily on court schedules, the complexity of the evidence, and the cooperation of the opposing party. During our initial assessment, we will provide you with a realistic timeline based on the specific variables of your case.
Every client is assigned a designated Lead Advocate who serves as your primary point of contact and oversees the strategy of your matter. However, law firms often operate collaboratively to ensure efficiency. For example, a legal clerk or junior associate may assist with routine document filings and registry searches, while a senior partner reviews complex contractual clauses or handles court arguments. This team approach ensures your matter is handled at the appropriate professional level while optimizing your legal costs.
Litigation involves taking a dispute to a formal court of law, where a judge or tribunal makes a legally binding decision after hearing arguments from both sides. It is often necessary but can be time-consuming and public.
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)—which includes mediation and arbitration—is a private, less formal process where parties work with a neutral third party to find a mutually acceptable compromise. ADR is generally faster, more cost-effective, and focuses on preserving business or personal relationships. We always assess whether ADR is a viable option for our clients before proceeding to full court litigation.
